MS SQL Server Support

We just purchased an accounting package that uses SQL
Server 2000 as its underlying DB. All we received were 2
CDs and a person on this newsgroup explained that we
shouldn't have gotten more than that. Do we not get some
sort of free support from MS within a certain time period
if we have problems with SQL Server? I've searched the MS
web site and can only find support that costs money. Can
someone please tell me if I am entitled to any free
support from MS or is it just an "AS IS" product.

Your ISV should be willing to help you with basic stuff.
Other than that:
Congradulations, you have just found the world's only source for free
SQLServer support.
David|||There is no free support for any of the major dbs's that I know of other
than the news groups. You can get some MS support as part of other
packages such as when you subscribe to MSDN etc but other than that I think
you have to either purchase a support contract or on a one by one basis.
You should be able to ask just about anything here. If it really is a bug
then MS will refund the money for the support call. See here for more
